March 8th, 2008:

I've been one busy baby boy the past two weeks!  First, I had my first web-casts with friends and family in Florida, Indiana, and California. Then, we had grandparents and great grandparents come to visit and they completely spoiled me...  I loved every minute of it!  By the way, you gotta-see the picture of my Great Grandpa's Tounge - He's the best!  Also, mommy left daddy and I alone for a day and I made it!  I didn't cry too much and when mommy came home I was still all in one piece!  More to come later!

February 23rd, 2008:

Carter has a few things to say...  so I'll let him do the talking:  "I'm almost three weeks old and growing like a weed!  I'm already sleeping in 4 hour intervals during the nighttime - Momma is especially happy about that!  Momma and Daddy have gotten a lot of practice at changing diapers, bath-time, and cuddling - all of which is great news for me - I think I've got them trained pretty well.  Yesterday they finally found out that I really like vibrating chairs, swings, beds etc... and now after all my meals I get a milk-shake!  Chance the dog and I are getting along pretty good.  At first he thought I was moving into his territory, but he's finally come around!  Every time I scream he comes and finds me and tells me everything is alright.  We spent some quality time together this week - he makes a pretty cozy pillow.  Finally, I can't wait to see Grandma Linda and Grandpa Dan this weekend...  I've been told that G'ma Linda is gonna squeeze all the pudd'in outta me!  Gotta go - It's dinner time!

February 17th, 2008:

Family is still doing well.  Momma is getting the least sleep of all of us.  Daddy is still upright and is just happy to finally be a daddy!  We had our first appointment with the Lactation Nurse last week and she said that Carter is doing great.  They would like babys to be back up to birth-weight in 2 weeks and he was there in 5 days!  Thanks for those midnight feedings Mommy!  This week we're back to work.  Hopefully we can find some time to do work from home, but Matthew will try to make it into the office a couple days - which is going to be very tough.  If you're reading this and want to visit just call and let us know - we'd love to see you!  Until next time...

February 10th, 2008: 

This is the first entry in our blog.  I thought it was about time to update the old website to make it more current - especially since our new addition!  I am happy to announce the much anticipated arrival of our baby boy - Carter James Mitchell!  He was born on February 6th, 2008, weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz and he was 20 1/4 inches long. Carter was born on the same day Matthew's father Jim was born - Feb. 6th.  Click here if you would like to see BABY CARTER PICTURES or feel free to look through our entire Picture Archive for older pictures since 2004.  I am happy to report that Baby and Momma are doing just fine!  Betsy's parents got in the car the morning she was scheduled for labor and arrived at the hospital shortly after Carter was born.  We've had lots of visitors and well-wishers for which we are very grateful!  Thank you to all our friends and family for being so loving and supportive!
